About Us

ADR Clinic is a wholly black owned company that specialises in resolving disputes, legal advice and training. The company was established in 2012 with CEO, Solomzi Mmemezi, at the helm. ADR Clinic is a level 1 BEE rated enterprise.

Solomzi’s vision has always been to make ADR services available to more people by providing a cost effective and efficient resolution to disputes.

ADR Clinic has over 50 dispute resolution specialists and accredited trainers with backgrounds in law, human resources and industrial relations. They are available in all major cities in South Africa.

The ADR Clinic Board oversees the running of the business in line with the best practices of corporate governance.

SOLOMZI MMEMEZI
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Qualifications:
Bcom in Banking Management (Milpark Business School), NQF level 4 in Project Management (Services Seta), Advanced Management Programme –MAP (Wits Business School), Labour Dispute Resolution Practise (CCMA & WITS LAW SCHOOL)

Areas of specialization:
Mediation ,facilitation , disciplinary & grievance hearings, verification & election processes, Administration and project management of disputes, ADR process design

Brief Profile:
Solomzi has worked in ADR for over 12 years. He has successfully mediated commercial, property and family disputes and has worked with various Bargaining Councils and other dispute resolution projects. Solomzi is an internationally accredited commercial and civil mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution in the United Kingdom and the Africa Center for Dispute Settlement.

MICHELLE GOVENDER
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Qualifications:
BA (Univ Natal), LLB (Univ Natal), LLM (Univ Natal), LLM (Univ Toronto), Certification in Arbitration (Assoc of Arbitrators)

Areas of specialisation:
Legal and other writing Legal advice

Brief Profile:
Michelle is a non-practicing attorney, with experience in human rights litigation, and labour. She has been involved in various sectors and has wide experience in legal research, and writing. Michelle is an accredited arbitrator with the Association of Arbitrators.

MZU MTHOMBENI
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Qualifications:
B Proc (Zululand), LLB (Natal), LLM (London), LLM (Columbia), PDL (RAU)

Areas of specialisation:
Commercial and Labour Law mediation, arbitration, investigation , facilitation and training.

Brief Profile:
Mzu is currently an advocate practicing at the Johannesburg Bar. He was a senior researcher at UNISA and lectured in commercial and labour law at Vista University, Soweto where he was an Associate Professor. He also practised as an attorney before joining the Bar. Mzu has acted as a judge of the Labour Court. He is an accredited mediator, facilitator, trainer and arbitrator. He is an International Labour Organisation accredited trainer.
